This is guided walking ghost tour through the Cornstalk Heights Historic District in Harriman.This year's tour will included:
* Visit to magnificent homes known for their ghosts.
* Stories told by district residents of actual known encounters in Harriman.
* Met homeowners who will share their own "ghostly tales."
The tour will begins near the Temperance Building.
Please note: this tour is for ages 10 and above. It is not a 'jump out and get you' type of ghost tour but simply a gathering of ghost stories from right here in our town. The tour covers approximately 1.5 miles and will include hills so comfortable shoes and clothing are highly encouraged. This tour will go on - rain or shine, so bring appropriate rain gear, if needed.2010 Christmas Tour information to be updated in the near future.Dates: December 11th (Saturday) & (Sunday) 12th, 2010. This years tour coordinator will be Karen Lane.Last years Ghost and Christmas Tours were a huge success!!!!
Christmas Tour of Homes 2009
This has been our premier community event for the past 19 years. It's shaping up to be a great tour! This year is the 100 years anniversary for the Carnegie Library and The Harriman Music Club. The Harriman Music Club will be performing at 325 Walden St. (Demyanovich Residence), during the tour on Saturday. Times will be provided as we get closer to the tour dates.People come from all over to attend our event. There will be between 12-20 stops along the way which will including. churches, public buildings along with local businesses. The premier home this year to be determined.The tour will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2009 12PM-6PM, and Sunday, December 13, 2009 1PM-6PM. Tickets can be purchased at the Carnegie Library located at 601 Walden St. the day of the tour or on line at this website (see ticket purchases).
